(Guitarist with his Love Electric group featuring players from South, Central, and North America. Session includes a wide range of edgy avant jazz grooves, delta blues, 70’s soul, funk and rock. All originals). – Royal Potato Family

Fly – “Year Of The Snake”
(Collective pianoless trio project with each member contributing original tunes. The date offers improvisations with a sound that’s closer to contemporary classical music than jazz tradition). – ECM

Fundamental – “Development”
(Texas based band (all graduates from University of North Texas) with their debut album. A progressive outing that includes nine original compositions that draws inspiration from many sources ranging from Indian classical music to indie-rock). – Armored Records
The Jay Lawrence Quartet – “Sweet Lime”
(Drummer, leading a quartet, doing a mix of originals and other straight-ahead jazz tunes). – Jazz Hang Records

Russ Lossing – “Drum Music”
(An edgy solo piano release that concentrates on the music of Paul Motion). – Sunnyside

Hendrick Meurkens / Gabriel Espinosa – “Celebrando”
(Composer/harmonica player featuring bassist/vocalist Gabriel Espinosa. The session includes a number of musicians of different ethnic backgrounds bringing together a Brazilian-based program. While the date has a distinctive Brazilian identity, each track tends to show individual distinguishing characteristics). – Zoho

Henry Threadgill / Zooid – “Tomorrow / The Revelry, Spp”
(Flautist/alto saxophonist with his follow up to This Brings Us To, Vols. 1 and 2. This release features improvisations and counterpoints that make up the continuation of his twelve-year musical journey with his band Zooid). – PI

(Vocalist/gutarist, with a date featuring guitarist Fabrizio Sotti, that includes the sounds of smooth jazz, bossa nova and samba). – Entertainment One

Denny Zeitlin – “Wherever You Are”
(Pianist, presenting an entire program of ballads. Solo release that ranges from the classics to the American Songbook along with a couple of originals and renditions of compositions by songwriter Antonio Carlos Jobin). – Sunnyside
