Among the New being added this week to the Jazz 88 music library is the latest from Javon Jackson and Tom Harrell, solo piano works from Jessica Williams and Larry Willis, reaching pianist Orrin Evans, several new vocal albums, and a ton of fresh, exciting Jazz music (check out the whole list after the jump)! LAILA BIALI – “LIVE IN CONCERT” (Female vocalist, doing a live mix of standards and
originals).

ORI DAGAN – “LESS THAN THREE” (Male vocalist, with a mix of originals, old and new
standards).

ORRIN EVANS – “FLIP THE SCRIPT” (Piano trio, with his usual edgy mix of straight-ahead
and progressive tracks).

TOM HARRELL – “NUMBER FIVE” (Trumpeter/flugelhornist, leading various configurations
in mostly originals).

HEAVY TIN – “MAKEOVER” (Progressive, highly-electric vocal albulm).

PAUL HOFMANN WITH TOMMY RUSKIN – “DIALOGUES IN RHTYHM” (Unusual piano/
drum duet improvisation recording, but it works).

JAVON JACKSON – “LUCKY 13” (Saxophonist, leading a quartet, doing mostly originals, with
Les McCann guest on 3 tracks).

CHERYL JEWELL – “MY BLUE HEAVE” (Female vocalist, swinging standards, with some
really nice arrangements, too).

JACAM MARICKS – “CLOUD NINE” (Australian-born, with Sri Lankan and Portuguese
heritage, saxophonist, leads a quintet, doing mostly straight-ahead originals).

MAX MARSHALL – “INSTANT CAMARADERIE” (Pianist, leading a quartet, with a straight-
ahead mix of originals and jazz tunes).

MICHAEL PEDICIN – “LIVE @ THE LOFT” (Saxophonist, leading a quintet, doing a tribute to
John Coltrane).

RIBOUEM – “JAZZ GRIOT” (Saxophonist/guitarist, in a contemporary, world-tinged release).

JOHN STOWELL/ULF BANDGREN – “THROOP” (Acoustic guitar duo, doing mostly
originals).

NICK VINTSKEVICH – “VIVE L’AMOUR” (Russian saxophonist, leading a contemporary
vocal session, with Kim Nazarian from New York Voices, among others).

RICHIE VITALE – “VITALOGY” (Trumpeter, leading a straight ahead session of originals).

JESSICA WILLIAMS – “SONGS OF EARTH” (Solo piano concert, doing all orginals, with
one ‘Trane tune).

LARRY WILLIS – “THIS TIME THE DREAM’S ON ME” (Pianist, going solo, with a
collection of standards and originals).
