The Jazz 88 Music Library gets a varied set of New Jazz Music in for the week of March 4, 2013, including Latin (Aguanko), vocals (New York Voices with the WDR Big Band, Jan Shapiro, and even "Luke Duke" aka Tom Wopat), guitar (John Stein, Dave Haskell), the latest from Clint's little boy Kyle Eastwood and Scott Hamilton, and more...the full list is after the split! Check it all out when it debuts on The New Jazz Thing with Vince Outlaw, Monday, March 4, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM PT. 

Here's a great story about pianist and composer artist Mike Prigodich who is releasing his first CD after his experience as a cancer patient...way to go Mike!


AGUANKO – “ELEMENTAL BY AGUANKO” (Great, straight-ahead Latin grooves).

KYLE EASTWOOD – “THE VIEW FROM HERE” (Bassist, leading a straight-ahead
session of mostly his originals).
SCOTT HAMILTON – “REMEMBERING BILLIE” (Saxophonist, leading a quartet,
with Duke Robillard guesting on 2 tracks, paying tribute to Billie Holiday).

BILL HARRIS QUINTET – “THIS TIME THE DREAM’S ON ME” (Saxophonist,
leading quintet, doing straight-ahead standards, jazz tunes and originals).

DAVE HASKELL – “PIVOT POINT” (Guitarist, leading a mostly contemporary session
of originals).

BRIAN McCARTHY – “THIS JUST IN” (Saxophonist, leading a quintet, in a collection
of straight-ahead tunes, mostly originals).

NEW YORK VOICES – “LIVE WITH WDR BIG BAND COLOGNE” (Jazz vocal
group performing classics and originals, live).

MIKE PRIGODICH – “A STITCH IN TIME” (A mostly edgy session of originals by the
pianist, leading a large ensemble).

JAN SHAPIRO – “PIANO BAR AFTER HOURS” (Female vocalist, doing standards
and jazz tunes backed by a variety of pianists).

JOHN STEIN – “BING BANG BOOM!” (Guitarist, leading a straight-ahead session of
jazz tunes, standards and originals).

THE VERVE JAZZ ENSEMBLE – “IT’S ABOUT TIME” (Quintet, doing straight-
ahead standards an jazz tunes).

TOM WOPAT – “I’VE GOT YOUR NUMBER” (Male vocalist, doing a straight-ahead
collection of old and new standards, and some originals).
