ENRICO PIERANUNZI/MARC JOHNSON/JOEY BARON – “MORRICONE 1 & 2” (Piano trio, celebrating their 30th anniversary, with more-or-less a re-issue of their recordings of the music of Ennio Morricone).

ARTURO O’FARRILL & THE AFRO LATIN JAZZ ORCHESTRA – “THE OFFENSE OF THE DRUM” (Orchestra Latin grooves).

MARIO PAVONE – “STREET SONGS” (Bassist performing a session of tunes inspired by ‘stoop music’ in his native Westbury, Connecticut neighborhood).

BRIA SKONBERG – “INTO YOUR OWN” (Trumpeter/vocalist, singing her own originals).

ERIC STARR GROUP – “SUCH IS LIFE” (Drummer/multi-instrumentalist, leading a mostly vocal album of originals).

J.C.STYLLES – “BLAKEY GREASE” (Guitarist, backed by an organ/sax combo, doing straight-ahead versions of some of the lesser known tunes by Blakey’s Jazz Messengers).

CATERINA ZAPPONI – “ROMANTICA” (Female vocalist, backed by Monty Alexander, and some all-star guitarists, with a nice mix of tunes).
