2013-02-25 Adds To The Jazz 88 Music Library: The bounty of New continues to flow in the Jazz 88 Music Library and this week, in addition to a mix of ensemble sizes from trio to big band and large ensemble and highlights of regional tributes from Indianapolis to Harlem and Afro-Caribbean, we've got probably one of the most ambitiously technical improvisational projects around with Pat Methany's 2 Disc recordings from his Orchestrion Project.

They are touring to support their latest in a series of live releases, "Vol. 2, Nail & Tooth" and will mosey over for a phone interview in Hour 2 of the New (7-8PM PT).

The Wood Brothers mosey on over for a phone interview on The New Jazz Thing with Vince Outlaw, Monday, January 28 between 6 and 8 PM PT. They kick off their U.S. West Coast tour on Thurs. January 31 at The Belly Up. They are touring to support their latest in a series of live releases, "Vol. 2, Nail & Tooth". The Wood Brothers are Oliver Wood (vocals and guitar) who is previously known for his work with Atlanta blues band, King Johnson, and Chris Wood (bass guitar and harmony vocals) who came to national attention as one third of the revered experimental jazz trio, Medeski Martin & Wood.
