Join jazz writer and critic T. Michael Crowell on the third Sunday of every month (630PM) as he hosts 'Offramp', a monthly program of music off the jazz mainline. Crowell, the former Night&Day and music editor for the San Diego Union-Tribune, will take listeners on the off-ramps of jazz, from its roots in New Orleans to its continual reinvention by todays artists. On Offramp, Crowell will sit down with local artists, explore the careers of the musics most interesting and important players, past and present, and regularly provide listeners with music reviews and recommendations. Hear recent interviews with Saxophonist Dave Liebman, Bassist Stanley Clarke, the great Mose Allison. In January, Mike welcomed the young gifted San Diego pianist, Joshua White, promoter, Bonnie Wright and most recently, saxophonist Joe Marillo. Mike also talks to authors, San Diego musicians, promoters and booking agents as well.
