It looks like this will be the last batch of New Jazz for 2012, but it comes with a stocking stuffer...New Holiday Jazz! Along with some new straight-ahead, progressive, Brazilian, and vocals, comes lots of New holiday vocal music from the likes of Susie Airioli, Jay Hoggard, and even Dino's daughter Deana Martin with a Big Band...HO HO HO!! Get in the spirit and check out ALL THE NEW on The New Jazz Thing with Vince Outlaw, Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM PT!

AL HERMANN & THE NEW IMPRESSIONS TRIO – “DREAM DANCES” (Trombonist, leading a quartet, in Brazilian grooves).

MATT McDOUGALL – “FAMILIAR FACES” (Debut album from Canadian guitarist, doing all originals).

JUSTIN ROBINSON – “IN THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT” (Saxophonist, leading a quartet, Roy Hargrove on 2 tracks, doing straight-ahead jazz tunes and standards).

MARCUS ROBERTS NONET – “DEEP IN THE SHED: A BLUES SUITE” (Pianist, leading a large group, doing all originals, on the edgy side).

CHESTER “CT” THOMPSON – “MIXOLOGY” (Former Tower of Power and Santana organist, in a straight-ahead session of mostly jazz tunes).

MORT WEISS – “I’LL BE SEEING” (Clarinetist, fronting a bass/drum/conga quartet, with a straight-ahead collection of standards).
