Lots of new (Quentin Angus, Arjun, Roby Glob, more) and familiar (Peter Madsen, Bobby McFerrin, David Murray) and MIKE WOFFORD'S NEW "It's Personal"...all being added to the Jazz 88 Music Library (we need a link to the library search here) on Tuesday, June 24, 2013 and debuted on The New Jazz Thing @Jazz88 LIVE from Monday June 23, 2013, 6 to 8 PM PT, SO LISTEN LIVE NOW! A taste of something coming!

QUENTIN ANGUS – “PERCEPTION” (Australian guitarist with a set of originals backed by various musicians that features an eclectic mix of genres from a diverse set of influences).

ARJUN – “SPACE” (Contemporary grooves, with harsh electric guitar).

MARC CARY – “FOR THE LOVE OF ABBEY” (Pianist, in a solo outing, in tribute to Abbey Lincoln).

ROGER DAVIDSON – “JOURNEY TO RIO” (Pianist, with a double-disc release, backed by Brazilian musicians, with Brazilian-tinged, straight-ahead Jazz).

DJANGO FESTIVAL ALL-STARS 2012 – “LIVE AT BIRDLAND & MORE” (Gypsy Jazz, recorded live).

ROBY GLOD - “OP DER SCHMELZ – LIVE” (Saxophonist, leading a European-American improvised quartet with a live session recorded in Luxembourg).

DAVE LIEBMAN / MICHAEL STEPHENS – “LINEAGE” (Edgy to progressive versions of pop songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s).


(Pianist/composer in a duet recording with drummer/percussionist Vogel, featuring improvisational tunes recorded spontaneously with no pre-arranged compositions).

LENNY MARCUS TRIO – “PEACE FOR BEETHOVEN” (Pianist, doing jazz interpretations of melodies by Beethoven).

BOBBY McFERRIN – “SPIRIT YOU ALL” (Vocalist, backed by a variety of all-stars, with straight-ahead versions of religious tunes).

MIAMI SAXOPHONE QUARTET – “FOUR OF A KIND” (Sax players, recorded live, doing originals and jazz tunes).

DAVID MURRAY INFINITY QUARTET – “BE MY MONSTER LOVE” (Sax player, doing all originals, with half vocal tracks, very edgy).

P.J. RASMUSSEN – “ADVENTURES IN FLIGHT” (Guitarist, leading a sextet, doing all straight-ahead originals).

CHIP STEPHENS TRIO – “RELEVANCY” (Piano trio recording, with straight-ahead standards and originals).

MICHAEL TRENI BIG BAND – “POP-CULTURE BLUES” (Straight-ahead big band grooves).

ANDY WADDELL – “SUNSET TO 7” (Guitarist, leading a quintet, in straight-ahead mostly originals).

ROBERT WALTER’S 20TH CONGRESS – “GET THY BEARINGS” (Keyboardist, doing funky originals, with a couple of covers).

MIKE WOFFORD – “IT’S PERSONAL” (Local legend, in a great solo session).
