Here are the new discs being added to the Jazz 88 Music Library this week and debuting LIVE on The New Jazz Thing @Jazz88 with Vince Outlaw, Monday 6-8 PM PT, October 28, 2013

It's a great list featuring a wide range from big band, groovy electronics, and straight ahead to vocals, including the latest from critics favorite and 2012 TNJT guest Gretchen Parlato, "Live in NYC". DAVID BECKER TRIBUNE – “DISTANCE TRAVELED” (German guitarist, leading a trio in all originals, except for a solo version of The Eagles’ “Desperado”).
KEVIN COELHO – “TURN IT UP” (Organist, leading a trio, in a straight-ahead, interesting collection of tunes).
MR.HO’S ORCHESTROTICA – “WHERE HERE MEETS THERE” (A sort of tribute to 60’s lounge music, with a widely varying collection of tunes).
B.D.LENZ – “READY OR NOT” (Guitarist, leading a trio/quartet/quintet, in a straight-ahead collection of mostly originals).
GRETCHEN PARLATO – “LIVE IN NYC” (Female vocalist, doing a varied collection of tunes, recorded live).
MARTIN PIECUCH – “JAZZICAL FUSION” (Flutist/saxophonist, leading a trio, in a mix of jazz/tango/classical, that manages to sound very jazzy).
“THE JOSHUA SHNEIDER LOVE SPEAKS ORCHESTRA” (Big band, doing mostly, straight-ahead originals, with 4 vocal tracks).
“THIEF” (Very edgy, electronic funk grooves).
