BOSSA BRAZIL  AND MAURICIO de SOUZA GROUP – “DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS” (In spite of the band name, a straight-ahead collection of instrumentals).

ADAM BRENNER – “LONG WAY HOME” (Saxophonist, leading a quartet/quintet in a straight-ahead collection of originals and standards).

CHICAGO JAZZ ORCHESTRA – “BURSTIN’ OUT” (Celebrating their 35th year, this recording features some swinging great jazz classics under the direction of Jeff Lindberg alongside vocalist Cyrille Aimee).

COLORADO CONSERVATORY FOR THE JAZZ ARTS – “HANG TIME” (2 different groups performing straight-ahead originals).

JOE DAVIDIAN TRIO – “LIVE AT THE JAZZ CAVE” (Pianist, leading a trio, in live performance of mostly standards).

EPICENTER – “IN SEARCH OF BLUE” (A quintet, doing all straight-ahead originals).

LORRAINE FEATHER – “ATTACHMENTS” (Female singer, doing straight-ahead songs featuring her own lyrics).

ROBERTO FONSECA – “YO” (Pianist, leading a Latin session, with a mixed bag of instrumentals, vocals and spoken word).

DAVE HOLLAND – “PRISM” (Bassist, leads a hard-hitting quartet of collective progressive originals).

DICK HYMAN & KEN PEPLOWSKI – “…LIVE AT THE KITANO” (Pianist and reed player, doing standards and jazz tunes, recorded live).

DERRICK HODGE “LIVE TODAY” (Versatile bassist/keyboardist/percussionist, breathing some fresh creativity of modern jazz tunes mixed with R&B, soul, rap and artful spoken word).

MESCHIYA LAKE & THE LITTLE BIG HORNS – “FOLLER’S GOLD” (Vocalist from New Orleans with her sophomore effort singing Dixieland/Americana style tunes).

KANJI OHTA & THE JAZZ FAMILY WITH JIMMY HEATH – “OUR JAZZ FAMILY” (Previously unreleased live recording from 2002, straight-ahead jazz tunes and standards).

KEN PEPLOWSKI – “MAYBE SEPTEMBER” (Reed player, leading a quartet, with a mixed collection of straight-ahead tunes).

PLANET D NONET – “SWINGIN’ THE D” (Large ensemble with straight-ahead versions of jazz tunes and standards).

MAURICIO de SOUZA GROUP – “BOSSA BRASIL” (In spite of the title, a straight-ahead collection of instrumentals).

DANIEL ROSENBOOM – “BOOK OF OMENS” (Trumpeter and quintet with an extremely electric progressive outing).

JUDY WEXLER – “WHAT I SEE” (Female vocalist, with a straight-ahead interesting mix of tunes).

JAMES ZOLLAR – “IT’S ALL GOOD PEOPLE” (Trumpeter, featuring numerous special guests and vocalists with a forward-leaning band of straight-ahead collective originals).
