    • KSDS Celebrates Black History Month in 2018 - Jazz 88.3 will honor Black History month by highlighting how African-Americans have helped innovate and advance the art form of Jazz. Each year KSDS chooses a significant aspect of African-American culture and this year’s focus is the neighborhood of Harlem. Harlem has inspired countless jazz pieces but also significant literature and art. Listen every weekday, all month long, for a different historical aspect of the cultural mecca of Harlem. The segments can also be visualized at Jazz88.org.

    • Jazz Live- ELEW celebrates Harlem Piano - The Joint will be Jumpin at the next Jazz Live on February 20th at 8pm. Pianist, ELEW has cross-over success in rock and pop but began his career as a jazz purist, playing as a sideman for jazz artists like Wynton Marsalis, Cassandra Wilson, Elvin Jones, Jon Hendricks, and Roy Hargrove as well as performing as a member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. ELEW comes to the Saville Theatre for the first time and will help us celebrate Black History Month by celebrating Harlem through his piano. The concert is for Jazz 88 members only.

    • Athenaeum's 2018 Season - Jazz 88.3 is so proud to support the Athenaeum's 2018 season! The series continues with Ben Allison & Think Free (February 22nd). You'll want to be absolutely sure to mark your calendars because February is bound to be one spectacular month! The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, located in the heart of La Jolla, in San Diego County, is one of only 16 nonprofit membership libraries in the United States.

    • San Diego Symphony's Winter Season! Jazz 88.3 is proud to support the San Diego Symphony as they present: "Affinity: A Ray Brown and Oscar Peterson Tribute," happening Saturday, February 24th at Copley Symphony Hall (8PM)--part of the Jazz @ the Jacobs concert series! From 1951 to 1966, bassist Ray Brown and pianist Oscar Peterson were partners in the Oscar Peterson Trio, recording some of the most exciting and beloved jazz music of that era. This concert catches the spirit of this famous and fruitful collaboration with some of today’s finest keyboard and string bass artists. MORE+TIX...
