“I personally have wanted Jazz 88.3 to do a weekly brunch because I, personally, love brunch; and I love brunch even more with a great soundtrack (if that makes sense). And being that our Blues Jam has grown exponentially after moving it to Proud Mary's, it seemed like a natural next step. Proud Mary's is so wonderful to work with and our Blues Jam attendees, musicians and staff are all very happy there”, says Jazz 88.3’s Promotions Director Natasha Collins, who worked with chef Michael, Jazz 88.3’s Interim Station Manager Claudia Russell, and Jazz 88.3 Host J. Otis Williams to put the Blues Brunch together.

“The Blues here in San Diego has such a big following, it seems they can't get enough , and Jazz 88 is known to go out and work within the community, and what ever we can do to help when it comes to our listeners ,we jump right on it , they craved more Blues so we came up with the Brunch”, says J Otis Williams, Jazz 88.3 Host for "I've Got Blues For You" Sunday 2-6AM PT, "Overnight Jazz and Blues" Friday Midnight-6AM PT, and "Overnight Jazz" Saturday 2-7AM PT, and the weekly Jazz 88.3 Wednesday Blues Jam from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Proud Mary’s.
