Big Band Bash

About The Program

Too many times the wonderful world of the big band is compressed to just a decade known as “The Swing Era”(1935 to 1945). And even beyond that, only a handful of bands are usually heard to represent that magical time. Join host Loren Schoenberg for the best of the swinging big bands, going back to the 1920s, and going way beyond 1945. You’ll hear a band’s you’ve never heard of, and you’ll hear great music by the bands, you have heard of that you’ve never heard before!
