Chad Fox keeps the flame burning every Sunday evening from 8pm to 9pm – celebrating the wide-opened world of creative, improvised Jazz that thrives on spontaneity, deep listening and an artistic risk that in the end balances freedom with structure – creating fresh, engaging and often tuneful music. Chad has been a long-time champion of the creative improvisational jazz scene for over two decades– always exploring, always researching and always eager to share this music with his audience. Grounded in the classic statements crafted by John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Sun Ra and Cecil Taylor, Loosely Knit also embraces the music of modern masters such as Ches Smith, Mary Halvorsen, Nicole Mitchell, Gerald Cleaver, Devin Gray, Matt Mitchell, Matana Roberts and many others. With one foot in the tradition of the free-Jazz and avant-garde movement, and the other in stride to the sounds of today’s creative artists, Loosely Knit is the destination of choice for discerning and intrepid listeners of all stripes.
