What a terrific way to kick off 2017's Jazz Live season. Acclaimed bassist and composer Mark Dresser will be here at City College TONIGHT at 8pm bringing a terrific quintet with him. Nicole Mitchell on flute, Michael Dessen on trombone, Kjell Nordesen on drums and San Diego's very own, Joshua White on piano. Mark will be featuring compositions off of his new release, "Sedimental You." If you are part of the general public and would like to purchase tickets you can all 619-388-3301. In any case, please use the parking pass if/when you arrive for the show.

In your Home Page / front page article for Jazz Live, you give the calendar date and day of the week, but you do not give the reader the TIME OF DAY that the event starts. Why not? That reminds of when, a couple of short years ago, I told you about the same thing you did with respect to your only listing the monthly date, and not the day of the week, in all of your articles. !! I also told April about those omissions. After that, you then began to add the day of the week for at least some your articles. Pleasd do the same, by thoughtfully adding the time of day for the events. It is strange that you don't give the time something begins: Not in the headline of the article, and not in the body of the text either. Tom Harten
